International Intern from American University
15 July 2019
Fonua Ola are excited to have Ms Liezel Pablo, an undergraduate student from University of California, Davis USA. She is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Communication and Human Development. She will be interning at Fonua Ola for the next six weeks
"I'm hoping to gain experience and insight in the wide range of services Fonua Ola provides. I have experience in working for a nonprofit organization, that aimed to keep troubled youth off the streets, by raising money for awareness and summer programs. I realized then, my interest in helping people to live a fulfilling and better life."
Ms Liezel Pablo is Filipino American, although she is not a Pacific Islander, she is intrigued to learn the intercultural differences and similarities between the people in New Zealand and people in the United States. Last but not least, she is looking forward to assisting the staff in strengthening the Pacific families towards a sustainable future.
